Therefore, ezine readers are already potential customers and advertising your site in ezines that are related to your business is almost guaranteed to help drive traffic to your site and increase sales for your product. You should be sure when advertising in ezines that you are not advertising along side competitors. Ask the ezine producer if there is a policy concerning posting competing ads. It is also a good idea to subscribe to the ezine before making a decision about whether or not to advertise in it. An ezine that runs fewer ads is a better choice than one that runs many ads. You can look at the online Directory of Ezines to find publications that are relevant to your company.
Pay-per-click programs are an excellent way to advertise your business without taking a risk that you have advertised in the wrong place. With pay-per-click, you can advertise you site and only pay for those who click the link and go to your site. Another popular pay-per program is the pay-per-lead program that allows you to only pay for leads. Usually this means that you pay for only those who download a trail, fill out a form or enter a sweepstakes; whatever you choose. Lastly you can display pay-per-click banner ads in which your company would be allowed to place a banner on their site and you will be charged for every click that your banner receives.
Opt-In email is a great way to advertise your business, however it is expensive and it can be misused very easily. Using opt-in emails, you would submit your sales copy to the company that will in turn email it to those on their mailing list. You should be very careful since some of the companies that advertise their mailing lists as opt-in email service is sometimes really SPAM. It is essential that you have a perfect and effective sales letter when using opt-in mailing lists. Without and effective sales copy your money and time have been wasted.

How To Create Your Own Blog and Why It's So Useful! |

First, a quick definition for those who do not know what a Blog is. Quite simply, it's a Web Log. In other words, a regularly updated page of your thoughts, ideas, links - whatever.
It's very easy to publish a Blog these days and today I'm going to show you how in a few easy steps. Don't worry - all the sites, services and tools involved are
fr'ee.
Before we go ahead I should first explain why a Blog is so
useful. A Blog provides a number of benefits to you and your site and all for very little effort.
1. A Blog will add valuable content to your site. This in turn increases repeat visitors and increases the frequency the Google Page Bot (and therefore how often your site listings are updated) will visit.
2. A Blog can be updated very quickly (especially using the technique I show you below). It's much faster to update than editing your Web Page or sending out an e-mail.
3. Blogs can be delivered as RSS Feeds and this means a user can download software to have your Blog delivered direct to their desktop as and when it's updated. You DO NOT have to pay for sites such as Quikonnex or the new Cory Rudl software. RSS Feeds are NOT new and you shouldn't have to pay for what is essentially a fr'ee technology!
Do you now believe you should publish a Blog? If you do, just read on, and see how easy it is!
First join Blogger.Com - this is a popular Blog service (there are others) that makes the whole process as simple as possible. You just register your details and a title for your
Blog.
Why choose Blogger? First, the Google Toolbar has a "Blog This" button that makes updating your Blog childs play. Click the button, and you can publish direct into your Blog immediately - including a link to the web-site you're currently on!
Second, Blogger will add you it's directory and to a notification service AND they will let you publish to their site, though you can set FTP settings to publish to a page at your own domain. For now we'll publish to Bloggers host service
"BlogSpot" since they are fast and the only thing they add is one banner at the top. You may also get featured as one of Bloggers daily blogs and gain massive traffic.
Blogger also has a range of templates and you can even edit these directly to
personalize your Blog, right down to adding ads or links to your own site (Tip: include a navigation bar). Blogger will also archive your Blog and insert links to your archived months.
Blogger will create a Blog for you in a few steps. At the Blogger.Com main page click on "Start Now" at the top. Enter your Username, Password and Name and away you go.
Once you have your account validated log in and create a new
Blog. This is just as simple as creating a user account. Enter a Title and Description, and leave it as a "Public"
Blog. Then select host at BlogSpot. Create a subdomain for your BlogSpot then select a template. You can create your own templates but that requires extensive HTML knowledge.
That's it! You have an account and a Blog setup. There are other settings to explore. You can set "Ping
Weblogs" to YES in the Settings/Publishing option to notify Weblogs whenever you publish. You can also set "Show Title Field" and "Email" options to provide Titles to your Blog Entries and email a copy of your entries to you. Everything else is OK at as it is.
With your Blog at BlogSpot and your Google Toolbar installed Go to -->
http://Toolbar.google.com
<- just set the Blogger function in the Toolbar Options and then click the `B` button in the Toolbar
intself. There you have it - one instant Blog entry.
How To Use Your RSS Feed
If you left the Blog settings as standard your RSS feed is at your BlogSpot Address as atom.xml - the number of entries depends on your settings in
Blogger, but it's usually a weeks worth. Although the Atom feed doesn't hold *every* entry the end user's client software stores all entries as they come in. Your website Blog has complete on-line archives.

Ad swap is one of the best ways to get new subscribers for your email newsletter if you have a limited budget for online marketing. Swapping ads is a great free technique. If you make good ad swap partnerships with email newsletters or web sites that focus on similar target audience like yours you will get quality (targeted) subscribers. 1) How to find swap resources
You will have to spend some time in finding ad swap partners. It can be time-consuming but if you find the right partners it is well worth it. 2) How to arrange ad swaps
When you contact webmasters for possible ad swap cooperation it is recommended that you personalize your message. So instead of: "Dear Webmaster..." you should write: "Dear Mr. Last Name or First Name..."
After that, you will introduce yourself and your web site or email newsletter and tell them why you are interested in making link exchange with them. It is important to persuade them, to tell them "what is in" for them. It is best if you exchange links with email newsletters with similar number of subscribers. However, quantity is not the most important thing. The most important thing is quality. Both parties have to be sure that their ads will appear on reputable web sites and email newsletters.
If you want to advertise in email newsletters you should send them your ad, preferably max. 5 lines and formatted with 65 characters in each line. You have to ask them to let you know when they will place your ad in their email newsletter and to forward you a copy. You will do the same. If you want that your ad appear in HTML format you can make a special section on your site where you will place your banners in several formats and to place HTML codes so that you will make your ad swap partner's job easier.
It is also important to discuss about ad placements and how many other ads will be in that issue. It is not the same if your ad will be at the beginning of the issue, in the middle of an article or at the end of email newsletter. Also, it is better that your ad be the only one in that particular issue.
If you want to advertise in email newsletters that have more subscribers than yours, you can give them special deals like "3 for 1" so that you will place 3 times their ad for one placement of your ad.
Swapping ads is time-consuming but can bring very good results. Also, this way you can make some good online friends that can be of help for your business development.

5. HOW-TO Set Up Your Own BLOG and RSS Feed In Less Than 5 Minutes...

I have a quick question to ask you... "do you know How-To set up your own BLOG and RSS Feed so you Too can take advantage of all the benefits Blogs and
RSS (Real Simple Syndication) have to offer you and your business?"
If you answered NO, your not alone.
I didn't either at one time, but that didn't stop me from finding out How-To on my own.
So basically, what I'm trying to say is by the time you finish reading this article you'll be a master at setting up your own Blogs and RSS Feeds in a matter of minutes by simply following my simple 'Step-by-Step' instructions below.
With that said, Buckle Up, put your thinking cap on, grab yourself a beverage and get ready to learn...
"HOW-TO Set Up Your Own BLOG and RSS Feed In Less Than 5 Minutes..."
Know lets go to Step #1.
Step #1. Go set-up an account with Blogger.com.
This is probably the easiest part of all, which is simply setting up an Blogger.com account at
http://www.blogger.com.
Go there right now. It will take you to Blogger.com's homepage.
Once there, you'll see an orange arrow pointing to the right that says..."Create Your Blog Now" ... click on it.
That's Step #1.
Step #2. Creating your account with Blogger.com.
If you thought Step #1 was easy than Step #2 will be a breeze.
Simply select a Username and Password that you'll remember followed by your Email
Address. (You don't have to use your primary email address, you can use a Free web-based email account like Hotmail or Yahoo! if you like. Your choice.)
Then check the box that says "I accept the Terms of Service".
Now proceed by clicking on the orange arrow that says... "Continue".
That's Step #2.
Step #3. Naming your Blog. (Very IMPORTANT!)
Now, depending on what your Blog is about your going to want to use your target 'Keywords' within the name of your
Blog, its description and the URL.
And there's a good reason for this simply because this is what the Search Engine spiders are going to see first.
They'll first see them within your Blog name which is at the top of your Blog that your visitors see, they'll see them within your description of your Blog and then they'll see them within your Blog URL that you choose.
Why is this SOoooo important?
By using your 'Target Keywords' within those areas I just outlined, thats what the SE's will use to index your Blog under so when someone does a search for those target keywords, guess whose Blog will pop-up within the results depending on your competition?
That's right, Yours!
The SE's will also use those area's I outlined for your SE listing within there results index.
Here's an example for a quick 'Case-Study' for you.
This is one of my Blogs I have.
Go to: http://internet-marketing-tactics.blogspot.com
You'll notice my Blog title, description and URL all have the 'Keyword Phrase'... Internet Marketing Tactic.
To take this a step further, I want you to go visit these search engines MSN, Yahoo! and AlltheWeb and type in "internet marketing tactics" within there search boxes so you can see where my Blog sits within those SE's so you can see the importance of having your Target keywords within those area's I mentioned earlier.

Yahoo! http://www.yahoo.com
AlltheWeb http://www.alltheweb.com
In the MSN SE results my Blog is #1 for that keyword phrase, in Yahoo! I'm #11(not bad) and in AlltheWeb I'm #18.
Of course these positions will very in time but just as long as you get the point of WHY you need to use your Target keywords within those 3 areas.
Lets move on.
Now, your last step for Step #3 is to simply type in the 'Verification Code'.
Once you've done that, click on the orange arrow below that says... "Continue".
Step #4. Choosing your template.
If everything went well in Step #3 and that Blog name you chose isn't taken you should be looking at a bunch of Blog templates Blogger.com offers.
Simply select the one you like most and then click "Continue".
CONGRATULATIONS!
You just created your first Blog and completed Step #4.
You should now be looking at an orange arrow that says... "Start Posting". Click on it and it'll take you to where you can start posting whatever it is you want.
Now that you have set-up your Blog your probably wondering... "where does RSS fit into this formula?"
Step #5. Locating your RSS Feed URL.
What can I say, I always leave the Best for last.
Assuming your still within the Blogger.com 'Posting' area you'll notice a bunch of tabs at the top
labeled, Posting, Settings, Template and View Blog.
Click on the 'Settings' tab.
This will take you to a sub-menu with a bunch of other options.
Out of all those options click on the one that says... "Site Feed".
And there it is.
It should look something like this:

This is the URL you'll want to use to promote your RSS Feed with to the RSS search engines and directories so that
every time you make a post, the RSS SE's and directories will be 'Automatically' notified and updated with your latest information bringing your Blog more exposure to your target audience.
That about sums it up for this tutorial, but, just before I go I'll leave you with a few articles I wrote earlier on RSS promotion to help you get the Most out of your Blogs and RSS Feeds.

Simple Changes That Can Explode Your Response Rate! |

Now, why does these online marketers have such high conversion rates while the majority of sites on the internet are only obtaining about a 1% conversion rate? It's simple. They invest a lot of time and effort into improving their conversion rate. They know that small changes to a web site can make huge impacts to your bottom line. Here are some simple changes that can make a dramatic difference in your own profits.
Headline
A change in your headline alone can produce a 1,900% increase in your income. This is one of the most crucial parts of your sales page and can pull in 80% of the orders if done correctly. Your headline should concentrate on the biggest benefit of your product. In addition, it should create enough curiosity to compel the reader into the sales copy.
One of the most powerful words in sales copy is the word you. This is also true for headlines. Using the word you or your in your headline and sales copy transfers ownership and makes your writing much more personal.
Color of Your Background
The color of your background is a very simple change that can raise your sales by up to 30%. The most effective color is dark blue, but
grey, black, and white also work pretty well. All aspects of your sales letter must be tested because different market segments respond differently
Audio Marketing
Adding audio to your order page could catapult your sales by 437%. Audio makes your message much more personal and adds to your credibility. People also like to associate a face with a voice. Place a small picture above your recording and see how this affects your sales conversions.

Number of Order Buttons
Long sales letters have proven to be the best for online sales letters because they limit a visitors navigation choices, they are focused on one product, and they provide potential customers with every bit of information they could want about a product. However, if you only have one order button at the very end of your sales page, you are probably losing out on a number of sales. The key is to place multiple button links that direct the user to the order page.
Place a red border around your order buttons. This has proven to increase conversion rates. However, nothing can take the place of testing.

There are so many sites that still do not include a call to action. You must clearly explain to your visitors what you want them to do. Marketers have proven that you will increase your sales by at least 80% simply by asking for the order.
Newsletters / Autoresponders
Unfortunately, not everyone that comes to your site will be ready to buy. Actually, this is usually 90% or more of the visitors that arrive at your site. However, to be successful, you must be able to stay in contact with potential customers. In order to do this you must capture their email address by offering a newsletter or
autoresponder. You can do this through a pop-up or subscription form. Some of the best places for a subscription form include the top-left hand of your sales page and the very bottom of your sales copy.
Limited Choices
Limit your visitors to a single choice. Your sales page should have one main goal: to sell one, individual product. You may have a secondary purpose of subscribing visitors to your newsletter, but this is not the main point of the page. The more choices you give people to surf around your site, the more confused they become and many will often just click away to somewhere else. By focusing your potential customers, you can crank up your conversion rates.
Web Site Copy
Strong testimonials can increase your sales by a phenomenal 250%. Gaining credibility is crucial on the internet where there are no sales reps on hand to talk to personally. When your visitors see that other people have risked doing business with you and have been pleased with the results, you gain trust that cannot be bought. However, when lost, it is nearly impossible to gain back.
For a testimonial to be effective, it must contain the following elements:
· A good testimonial is descriptive Avoid using one and two word testimonials. People will be much more influenced by longer testimonials that contain solid numbers and facts about the benefits they experienced.
· List the customer's full name, business name, and URL.
· Do NOT edit your testimonials. This is an unethical practice. However, correcting the spelling would be acceptable
So, how do you go about collecting these powerful testimonials? There are a couple of options. You may ask current customers for testimonials. Many times, you may have many very happy customers who just never really thought about sending in a testimonial. They are very likely to be responsive if you approach them and explain to them how both of you stand to benefit.
Another option is to give a couple of your products away for free in exchange for a testimonial. This has proven to be very effective in some cases.
Nevertheless, be sure to incorporate testimonials into your overall marketing plan. Research has shown that they work best when placed right below the headline.
A strong guarantee helps alleviate any anxiety the customer may be feeling about ordering from you. Your guarantee shows that you have confidence in what you are selling. Did you know that the longer your guarantee is for, the fewer returns you will receive? This is a simple solution that will increase your bottom line and reduce the headache of filing returns.
